Done in oil pastels, the assignment was to take a famous painting and change it somehow to make it our own. I chose The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Katsushika Hokusai. I just took out the boats, and made the water into fire and changed the sky.

wow. i really like this peace because it shows how waves can resemble fire. they are both furious and unstoppable forces of nature. i really love how power is use din this. great work as usual! *favorited*
