Daedalus and Icarus
Based on the Greek myth of a brilliant inventor and his son, this image portrays the fall of Icarus. The themes are in the wings—Drunk on the power of flight, and the liberation of escape from King Midas, Icarus proclaims himself as mighty as the gods. He dismisses his father's warnings, and flies up toward the sun, until the wax bindings on his wings fall apart. While Daedalus coasts in WISDOM, Icarus falls in his PRIDE.
