WITHIN
This was a bit of an exercise with figure drawing. I didn't want this to be photo-like, I really wanted it to be obvious that it was a drawing, and meant to be seen as such. I don't really know how to explain what I mean there. My friend Amanda posed for this piece, (ALL of the poses) and NO, we didn't do anything dangerous like HANGING her. We did that pose in two separate sittings, catching her from the waist-up while she was standing, and having her dangle her feet from a chair for below the waist. No, I have no underlying intentions of killing my best friend or any other such ideas, and she was thrilledto pose as my own personal dead body to move around. *lol* The piece is titled "WITHIN", after a poem I wrote. a stanza or two of which is worked into the ink.
