The day started off as slow but then got steady at the office. Owen planned on having an early day, being able to leave work to go home and surprise his wife Danielle and pride and joy, his son, Jonah. Owen was a hardworking man when it came to his job and providing for his own but was also a family man and loved his family with all of his heart. Danielle was able to be a stay at home mom with Owen’s hard work at providing, which she was completely head over heels about. Owen left work about 7:45 pm, 9pm was the normal for him so he was not complaining. He was tired of working every morning until night because he felt Jonah would be asleep by the time he got home every night and asleep every morning he left for work. It felt he was starting to miss out on major milestones in Jonah’s life because he was now  two and felt bad Danielle had do mostly everything on her own even though he was gone doing best for them. He has so much guilt about it but knows it is his responsibility and does not want to tell Danielle she needs to pick up a job so he could be in Jonah’s life more. Deep down Danielle knows Owen is missing out on a lot of his milestones and life but does not want to make him feel worse than he does. He tries to put on a brave face but it is noticeable he is hurting. He is the best husband and dad anyone could have, they could not ask anymore of him. On Owen’s way home from the office, he stopped and got Danielle some flowers. He made it home just in time for dinner. Jonah was so excited to finally see his dad! Owen got some bad news, it was not terrible but it was not good. He did not know a good time to bring it up to Danielle but knew the flowers would sweeten her up. As they were sitting down eating their home cooked meal, he gave Danielle a look and she knew he had some news but she could not tell what kind of news it would be. So she asked and he told her. Owen got information from his job that he has to go out of the state for his job the coming up weekend for a business trip. She did not have much to say but how he already was absent enough. He apologized over and over but he has to take the trip or he would be fired because there are many other people willing to take his job and he feels close to being promoted or getting a raise. She acted like she was okay with it but she really was not. Danielle worries about him traveling because she does not like heights or planes. She does not think they are reliable. Owen hoped she would be okay with him going because he had already purchased the plane ticket and he did not want to fight with her. She usually let things go anyway. The next morning he left for work and while he was at work Danielle packed all of his suits and everything he needed for his trip. She still had anxiety about him traveling on a plane because she just had a strange feeling something would happen but she let it go. He was only going for four days anyways so she calmed herself down. The weekend came by really fast. Owen kissed Danielle swiftly on the lips and gave Jonah a big hug, a peck on the cheek, told them goodbye and that he loved them so much. He headed to the airport and missed them both already so much and that is all he could think about. When he got to the airport it was full and everyone seemed to be traveling. He checked in all of his things and went to his gate but there was a mix up with his ticked so he had to go to another plane. He got to board the plane a little early because he was first and the flight attendants felt bad his flights were mixed up. He still had phone service as he was on the ground so he figured he would text and talk to Danielle one more time so she would not worry as much. Everyone else started to board and got ready for take off. Four people got on a little late which seemed weird but he did not raise concern. The flight was only supposed to be 2 hours. Time started to pass by fast. An hour went by. Danielle was at home and her mother-in-law was over to bake cookies with her and Jonah. As they were all in the kitchen they glanced at the tv, channel 11 news was on. Chaos was going on because planes were crashing into buildings in the same area. They were near the White House in D.C. Danielle freaked out and was pacing because Owen is on a plane heading towards D.C and it seemed that the planes were hijacked. She had  no way of getting ahold of Owen or seeing if he was ok. She was checking the news to see if his flight numbers popped up, 229. She had not seen them, at least yet. Meanwhile; Owen had been paying attention to the guys who arrived late to the plane that caught attention because they drew attention in general and were acting weird. All at once they checked their watches and had red bandanas. They took the bandanas and tied them around their heads, crossing their foreheads. It seemed very weird, so Owen called a flight attendant to check his suspicions but as he did that one of the four guys grabbed the flight attendant and put her in a choke hold. He had a knife to her throat and yelled to the rest of the passengers to listen up and do what they say or they will not hesitate to kill or blow them up. All four guys had bombs strapped to them and could go off with their doing at any time. The hijacker with the flight attendant in a choke hold took her to the front of the plane and made her put in a code to open the door to access the pilot’s area. At this point everyone is crying and panicking. Owen worked in electronics once so he quickly took his phone apart to make a radio to make a radio cell to call through to his wife because he was convinced they were purposely going to crash the plane and did not have much time left. Everyone wanted the chance to call home and tell their family bye. Families were just at home watching plane after plane crash into the White House and damaging everything. Not many people could survive this. Owen let other passengers call out before him. They could not let the hijackers see the electronic or who knows what would happen. Owen finally got to call and as he dialed to danielle, the hijackers killed the pilots turning the plane straight down towards the buildings. Danielle answered hoping it was him. The plane was shaking and Owen said i love you and tell Jonah I love him forever. BOOM.
