August 2022 Fiction Contest: The Left-Hander

Ryan's mother had lost custody of him after the divorce. He had to move to Dubai with his Arabian father. He had no choice but to go to school in Dubai.
He entered his classroom and was told to take notes during the first period. As he began jotting things down, every student in the classroom looked at his hands. He felt uneasy as they looked at him every time he wrote something.
During recess, one of his classmates approached him and said, "You are special!"
"Why?"
"Because you're left-handed!"
"Isn't there anyone else who's left-handed?"
"Not here! This is Dubai!"
