learning to ride a bike
They say, "It's like learning how to ride a bike." But riding a bike is not that easy. When I was a child, I learned how to ride my bike at the park up the street from my house. I couldn't even tell you the amount of times that I fell because I had such a hard time with it. After scrapes and bruises, leaving me with the scar i still have on my big toe, I finally got it. After I got the hang of it, I was a certified pro. Everyone always references that learning new things is like riding a bike, but no one ever talks about the process of getting there. it's difficult, emotional, scary, tiring, and way harder than it looks.
