Tough Love Introduction
Pity chained me to regret and fear when I was sixteen. It was what I wanted to hear, but only one person realized that I needed something more. Only one person knew that in order to make me believe there was water beneath the cliff, I needed to be pushed over the edge. Only one person knew that in order to free me from regret and fear, I needed to be thrown into the unknown. Only one person knew that the freezing water beneath me was the slap in the face that I needed. Only one person was strong enough to give me what I really needed. Tough love.
