The Moment
When I look at you I feel nothing. When you hold my hand I feel nothing. When you kiss me I feel nothing. I can’t go on pretending to like you, I’m sorry. I walk in the path, trees move as my arm slide against them. The dead leaves that have fallen through the storm crumble under my converse. I walk and see the water glittered with sunlight. I step up on top a root that hangs over the waters edge I feel as though nothing can touch, nobody can move me or take me out of this moment. The perfect song softly soothing out of my ear buds. I close my eyes. My brain cells clear, the cobwebs burn by the warmth and energy from the sun. I absorb the moment, lock it in my heart and just remember. For the last time I will say I love you. For the last time I will kiss you.
Goodbye
