I’ve been waiting since I was 8 years old until my fabulous wedding. Almost all of my other friends are already married except one and I need her to be my Maid of Honor for my wedding. My fiancé asked me the BIG question a few weeks ago and I have already started to plan where it’s going to be and what my theme will be. All of my best friends will be there expect one because on May 30, 2020 which is my wedding day, she will be going to visit her grandmother in Atlanta, Georgia because she has been diagnosed with a very critical disease. However she wants me to call her my wedding night to tell her about my day. My wedding will be at Le Chateau d’Esclimont France. I choose this place because I have always wanted to have a fantasy wedding and this is the perfect place for it. The color of my dress will be egg shell and my veil will be suffused with colors of a rainbow and have little petals on top. My heels are silver with and open toe and little rhinestones forming a precious bow on the top of my foot. All my bridesmaids will have on a different color dresses and the color of their dress will be from my veil with a little infusion of white. Also the ties of the men walking with them down the aisle will match the main color of their dress. My wedding planner is so, helpful and I appreciate her. Some of my family and friends think I am spending too much, however I keep telling them “I just need this day to be memorable for everyone who attends.”

It’s May 29, 2020 and tomorrow is my special day. I am very excited, but also very nervous. I want to see everyone that comes to support Chris and I. We have already rehearsed enough to know when everyone comes in and what order. I think this day will be perfect! I just need to make sure all the food will be at the reception place on time. Tonight my friends and I are going out for the 2nd bridal party with just my closest friends. We should have lots of fun together. The only issue I’m worried about is that I will become so busy with attending to my new family that I won’t be as close to my best friends. I already know this will happen at first because my friends that were already married warned me about this situation. They said “You will start to get caught up in you husbands wants and needs, however after a while you are going to need people to talk to, and that’s when you will come back to us, and it will be the same as it used to be.” I think it’s very true because I already know I want to make our family larger by having kids and I heard from my friends statements that it can be confusing, frustrating, and overwhelming when having a family but I am willing to go through the challenge.

I wake up to the singing birds and rising sun in the great city of Paris and I am immediately excited because it’s finally my day! I scream at the top of my lungs to get all the anxiety out of my body. Then I am greeted by that walk in my room wondering am I ok? They crowd around on my bed talking very fast. I guess it’s from all the sweets and drinks we had last night. I start to feel myself shake because I am nervous but also happy. Then I hop out of me bed and try to get through my friends. Next I tell them to go get ready because this day has just begun and I need to be ready for any obstacle that tries to ruin my wedding. After I get out of the shower and get dressed in some comfortable clothes to get my make-up and hair done in, my mother walks in with a fabulous breakfast. While I eat she tells me about her wedding day and wishes that mines will be blessed. As soon as she leaves I walk downstairs avoiding the men’s side of the house because I heard its bad luck if the groom sees his bride before the wedding. Then I eventually run into all of the women in my wedding to give them encouraging advice while eat and tell them that the cosmetologists are here to do our make-up and hair for the wedding. While I get my hair and make-up done I think of how my wedding is going to be and pray that everything goes great. When the cosmetologists finally get done it’s about noon and my wedding starts at 2:00pm so we need to start getting dressed. My mother helps me put on my beautiful dress and my bridesmaids are assisted by each other. As I look at my outfit in the mirror I think this is the last day I will ever be called Ms. Williams and after this I will be committed to Chris as my husband forever. As I am thinking my wedding planner interrupts my day dreaming to give me a pep talk and tells me at the end “Everything is going well so far and this should be great because everyone is here for you, so don’t be nervous.” After that she leads me to the bridesmaids and I’s limousine and then we are off to Le Chateau d’Esclimont France which is 45min away so I think we might be 5 min late but it’s ok because I have people singing and dancing before we make our entrance.

Finally we are at the Le Chateau d’Esclimont France it’s so beautiful. The grass is as green as and apple and the historic castle makes me feel like I am a “princess and Chris is my prince charming.” As soon as we get out of the car we are rushed to get ready to walk in. As I look around I see all of the beautiful birds flying around and the colorful decorations. I see my Dad who is going to walk me inside and he tell me “I will always be with you no matter what” and before I could respond My wedding planner tell me I can go at any time so I just whisper “thanks,” back to him. As I walk in I hear awes form the crowd and I see everyone I was expecting. Then I am greeted by Chris at the front and we stand to say our vowels to each other. I start to get just a little emotional. Next the Pastor says “I now pronounce you Mr. And Mrs. Johnson, you may now kiss the bride…” As he lifts my veil and kisses me and it feels like I’m dreaming. Afterwards we walk down the aisle together while people throw petals at us. Next Chris and I rode in a car with little cans hangings from it and got to the place to have the reception which ends up being fantastic and then we go back to Paris to settle down and take in all of what has just happened.

My strategy to calm down is to finally call Kate, my friend that couldn’t come because her grandmother is ill and tell her my version of what happened today. So I call and she’s very loud and excited asking many questions and not even letting me respond so eventually I say “Kate! If you shut up I will tell you everything,” then she says “Okay,” and starts to giggle. Then I start to tell her.

“As I woke up to many beautiful animals singing in harmony I realized it was my BIG day. While I slowly get out of my bed a dozen of birds come in my window and sit on my bed while they sing. I start to get very excited then all of a sudden Chris come into my room and tells me “I had to come to see you I know it is bad luck before a wedding day but, I just couldn’t help myself,” then kisses my cheek and whispers “I love you!” then walks out. He makes me feel special and gets the anxiety of my system. Next I get into the shower then when I come out in my comfortable clothes a little dog comes in with my breakfast which I think is so cute. On the table the dog brought in there is a note that is from my mom and it says ‘I wish you the best and send this note back with anything you need or want because I am catering to you today.’ So then all I write back is thanks. Soon I begin to eat my breakfast and look out the window. I start to see some beautiful white horses and one unicorn with a colorful seat on top. Next some little flying pieces of candy come inside my room and since that’s unusual I scream loudly. Then Kayla, Courtney, Jessica and Selena come in my room and start talking while they it the strange flying candy and as they eat they start to talk faster and eventually I just say ‘Come on everyone lets go get pretty’ As we go down stairs we try to avoid the men by going through the dungeon. While we walk through we start to see strange bones then as we keep going we see a light in the distance and it starts to get really hot. Then all of a sudden a huge dragon comes up and breathes fire towards us. But its good everyone moved out of the way in time. As it comes closer I get in the middle of the dungeon and start to say ‘Hello my name is Lauren and I mean no harm I am just trying to get through so the men don’t see me and my bridesmaids because it might cause bad luck and this is my wedding day so can you just let us through’ Then a girly voice speaks and says ‘Why should I let you through? I’ve never been invited to a wedding so why should you get to go to yours?’ next I said ‘My friend Kayla has an invitation right now to my wedding if you would like to attend.’ After a few minutes she replied and said ‘let me see’ Immediately Kayla threw the invitation and I saw her pick it up and after the dragon exam the invitation she said ‘Oh I would love to go! I’ve never been to the Le Chateau d’Esclimont France and it looks pretty in the picture so I’ll let y’all through.’ Everyone was excited until Selena said ‘we only have an hour left to get dresses, get our make-up done, and leave’ immediately I started to panic that we would be horribly late. Then the dragon said ‘Since I took up some of your time I will take all of you pretty ladies to the wedding it will only take five minutes but you have to hurry and get your other things done. Okay.’ And all I could attempt to say was ‘thanks’ back because we didn’t have time. So next we ran to get our make-up and hair done. Afterwards the dragon came to our dressing room and helped me put on my dress while everyone else was helped by so pretty tropical colored birds. As the dragon helped me she said ‘this wedding just better be amazing and like the good ones on television.’ And I said ‘it should be just fabulous but come on lets fly off to the Le Chateau d’Esclimont France.’ As we were flying I was looking at myself in a hand mirror and then Courtney said ‘Why are you looking in that thing you already known you’re gorgeous.’ Then we I didn’t reply she push the mirror out of my hand and as it dropped slowly towards the shiny green grass I realized she was right and that I need to stop being worried. Finally we reached the church and I saw the beautiful doves flying around and the little brown dears and little white bunnies sitting in their special positions. Next the wedding planner and my mother started rushing me to my unicorn named, Ciara that was beside my father who was on a black Stallion named, Robert. My father started to give me a pep talk, however all I really remember form the talk is him saying ‘I love you and will always be with you no matter what.’ Then we started to go down the aisle together Beyoncé and the birds were singing in harmony. It made me smile. Then Chris sung and rapped his vowels while he played on the piano and I just sang my vowels to him from my heart. Next the pastor prayed over us and the said ‘You may now kiss the bride.’ Them Chris lifted my beautiful veil and kissed me it felt like we kissed for hours. Then as we walked down the aisles the people that came to support Chris and I threw different color roses while two doves spun in the air together above us and dropped white petals. Next Chris and I left the Le Chateau d’Esclimont France in a carriage led by a unicorn. As soon as we got to the reception place the dragon approached us and gave me an ice sculpture she made of Chris and me because she was so happy she was invited to our wedding. Then left to come back to the place we were staying at and I called you. Does this answer all of your questions?”

After a pause Kate said “Oh wow that’s must have been a lot in one day but the whole dragon and unicorn thing is crazy but how does it fell being married?” I replied by saying “it doesn’t feel any different yet but I know it will soon” Next Kate says “well I’m happy for you and I hope your relationship is prosperous, but I have to go we are about to have dinner, bye” and I say “bye” back. Then I go to Chris’s room and sleep with him for the night because we are officially husband and wife!
