Rain on hope
I love the moments before rain. There’s something about it that’s electric that connects you to the world. The moment you finally catch up with the rotating of the earth and all is still and silent. You sit. You breathe, in then out steady rhythms of breath sucking the static air that surrounds you in some sort of blanket that echoes the sounds of the world. Cry’s rush towards your head and you hear them coming from all corners and all nations and its dark. But then there’s laughter. There’s great laughter and it floods you coming down greater than the storm billowing in the cool sky it engulfs you.
