Roaring Red Fire
A roaring red fire burned all around her, and Leslie knew that she was about to have to make a choice betweenher two worst fears. She stood in her second story bedroom, watching the flames slowly lick at her belongings, her dresser, her papers, her black-and-red bedspread, until it devoured everything in its path. The voices from below told her to jump, but the thought of barreling toward the ground terrified her more than the thought of facing the flames.
In the choice between two evils, two terrors, all Leslie could do was sit and cower.
