"My thoughts are stars I cannot fathom into constellations." -John Green

Wandering through the empty field, my bare feet glide through the tall grass. I spot a bright flower in the distance. Wanting to pick it for my dining room table, I start to walk faster towards it. I spread my arms out like wings and feel the breeze of air around me, the sun beaming down upon my head, and I start to twirl. The tall grass beneath my feet lightly scratching my heels gives me a tickling sensation, making me giggle. When I finally reach the flower, I pick it up. Its rough stem pricks my finger and leaves a dot of blood. I bring the flower to my face to smell it. I feel the pedals softly brush against my nose and I slowly fall to my back. I run my fingers through the grass. Its softness and simplicity make me want to close my eyes. The flower still in my hand, I lie it on my chest. The flower felling like a one hundred pound weight on my chest, it surprisingly feels comforting. With my eyes closed, I feel surrounded by the feeling of peace. The feeling so strong, I can almost touch it.
