Three Seconds
My heart races as I walk up to the line. The defense stairs at me while I start the cadence, I look up to see three seconds are left on the scoreboard. Whether we win this game was all riding on me and I knew it. The center snaps me the ball and the sound stops, all I can hear is my heavy breathing as I run around the corner. I see the end zone; I run past the cornerback and can see the safety flying towards me. I dive for the end zone, the win, and the glory. I roll on my back, everyone cheers and I’m free.
