Have you ever found peace when you need it the most? After working for hours straight, doing your homework until your eyes gently shut. After you can’t keep working because your body is too drained. That is a call that your body needs rest. When you’re the most tired, you find peace more easily. It’s as if the whole world dramatically shuts down and time slows down. You can simply be walking home from work because you missed the bus and manage to find peace within oneself. Listen as you walk, the wind’s harmony swaying through your hair and into your ears. You can hear the bird’s gentle tweet. It’s okay to zone off into a magical scenario, if that’s what makes you feel peaceful, do it. One should simply not become too busy to have a moment of peace. Imagine yourself in the middle of a grassfield, flowers blooming on every breath you take, you can see the motion of the grass dancing with the wind. That to me is peace. Peace is defined differently through variety of people. Some people consider it peace to be hugged by nature, like me, others choose to have peace by going shopping or wearing new shoes and even having new school supplies. It would be considerate to also call it happiness. Happiness is accompanied by peace. Once you find peace you’re happy. I’m only truly happy when I’m with nature, unlike my friend who is more materialistic. Money turning to shopping bags is her happiness. Let her be. She found what makes her happy and peaceful and that’s how everyone should be. Find something you love and enjoy it while you have a little time because soon you’re going to be too tired to even function. What’s your meaning of peace and happiness?
