Emma lives in the country in a small town. She lives in a small blue house with her mom, brother, and little sister. Her father died when she was three.
“Emma, breakfast time,” shouted her mom from the kitchen.
“Coming, Mom!” said Emma.
“Wake up your sister,” said Mom.
“Bre, wake up,” whispered Emma.
“Mommy, I'm hungry” said Breanna.
“Here, baby, eat your cereal,”said Mom.
Emma, Breanna, and Mom all piled into their car. They dropped Breanna off at their grandma's house, then they headed to the mall. They were only a block away when a van slammed into Emma’s mom’s door. The car was sent spinning as Mom reached to grab her seatbelt. Mom was thrown out the broken windshield by the force of them spinning.  Emma was thrown out onto the grass just after her mom was, knocking her out instantaneously.
“Mom! Mom?” shouted Emma as she got up.
“She is okay, she is on her way to the hospital now,” said the paramedic.
“Can you take me to her?” asked Emma.
“Of course, let's go,” said the paramedic.
Emma and the paramedic arrived the hospital and found the doctor looking at her mother's injuries.  The doctor shook his head. Emma’s mom was dead.
“ No, she can't be dead. No, she's not dead; tell them mom, you're not dead!” shouted Emma in denial. She laid on the body of her mother; and fell asleep sobbing. A few hours later, Breanna came to talk with her.
“Sissy, where’s mommy? The paramedics called grandma.”  said Breanna
“ Come here sweetie, mommy is dead. Her injuries were just too bad.” said Emma with tears rolling down her face.
“What?!”
The next day, everyone was at grandma’s house when  a black car pulled up; a man walked out and gave grandma a paper.
“You have been served” said the man as he walks away “And miss I'm sorry for your loss” said the man as he gets back in the car and drives away.
Grandma opens the envelope and reads “ Mrs. Rose did not have a will yet, so by law the girls are currently custody of the state. They can stay with you tonight but by tomorrow morning, child services will be over to pick them up.  It is now the court's decision what happens to the girls and because the boy turns eighteen next month  it has been decided that he is to remain in your  custody until further notice.”
Grandma fell to her knees and dropped the note as Emma picked it up. She hugged her grandma and stood there crying. As the girls sat there, grandma slowly stood up.
“Girls let's go and get something to eat” said grandma
“i’m too sad to eat,” said Emma gloomily.
“I’m hungry grandma,” said Breanna
“Then let's go,” said Emma
The girls left and decided to eat at a nearby pizza place that Breanna  loved. They ate in peace. The place was quiet; they were the only ones there other than the chef. Then, grandma’s phone rings. It was her son in law Anthony.
“She left this morning to go shopping. She was supposed to meet a friend and then go to the mall but she never came home. She said she would be back three hours ago,” Anthony remarked.
“I’ll be right over,” says Grandma.
“Two family members in one night. Really?” said Emma.
Just then, the phone rings. It's not Anthony, it's your Aunt Lily’s phone” said Grandma. After Grandma answered the phone, she bursts into tears.
“Where are you? I will come get you!” said Grandma
“I’m at the gas station, but I think I broke my arm,” said the person on the phone
“I’m on my way,” says grandma.
“Girls, get in the car now,” said Emma.
“Where are we going?” said Emma.
“You will see,” said Grandma.
As they pull up, Emma screams as Breanna tries to get out of the car while it's still moving.  Emma grabs her as she tries to open her door and the car stops. The girls ran to their mom.
“Mom, how? I thought you were dead! what's going on? Wait, if that lady on the stretcher wasn’t you, who was it?” said Emma.
“Mom, Lily was in the wreck. I saw her, and then we crashed and I think I just killed my baby sister. I was dizzy and I knew I shouldn't have drove, but I did!” said Elizabeth (Emma’s mom)
“ You didn't kill your sister, honey. The hospital didn't pay attention to identifying her and they just assumed it was you, but it wasn't. I doubt it's Lily, it's probably her friend and I think her friend has a really low heart rate anyways.  The hospital probably didn't even check that. Let's call them, Lily is probably at the crash site still. Let’s go look.” said Grandma.
The girls pulled up and got out of the car while they started calling Lily’s name out, but they didn't hear anything. As they waited , they heard a banging noise; they ran and looked everywhere and then they saw her laying on the ground with an engine on top of her. Grandma and Elizabeth screamed and ran to Lily. They started trying to push the engine off, but it was too heavy.  Then a black van pulled up and three men jumped out. They started helping the girls get the engine off of Lily. When they finally got it off everyone turned around and suddenly fell and they all fainted.  When they woke up, they were in the hospital and everyone was strapped to the beds and no one could move. Then a doctor entered with a policeman behind her.
“We would like to ask you all some questions, please?” asked the officer.
“Okay, I don’t mind as long as you tell me what’s going on,” said Elizabeth.
“We found you passed out on a barn roof after a farmer reported that you flew up there. We have to run some tests before we unstrap you,” said the man.
“Is my family okay? I won’t do anything until i know they are okay.” said Elizabeth
“They are fine; They are in the other room being questioned by my partner,”
“so what were you doing in area 51?”said the officer
