Pineapple
The gilded reward, the reward of ten million silver pieces, caused bedlam across the kingdom. Everyone- man, women, child, estranged uncles, nutty grandmothers- wanted to be palpable from such a munificent prize. However, the drive of the people was confounded by one small, tiny little factor. To get the so called magnificent reward, one must complete one task. This just any ordinary task that needed to be competed. Get get the reward, one must cleave the great pineapple in two.
Now, one might think that is this is a simple task, but alas, it is not. Many have tried to, from the mightiest of warriors to the bravest of the knights, but all have ultimately failed. A witch cursed the pineapple to never be broken, leaving it's skin impenetrable. The pineapple has shattered the sharpest of blades and thickest of knifes, staying whole and unscathed. The kingdom needed this pineapple. This juices from this mystical fruit were the only remedy to the suffering King's illness. All had believed that surcease would never come.
There was only one person who would be able to crack open the pineapple. It was a farmer, a lowly man who practiced the husbandry of sheep. He lived in a small secluded hut at the edge of the kingdom. He didn't think high of himself nor did he ever believe he'd be the to break the pineapple, but alas he would. He was very poor, only surviving by the largess of others. There was never a surfeit amount of food on his table.
Nevertheless, the time came for his destiny to come true. The man had be summoned to the castle...
