A Light for the Lost
Where I sit now is in a large brown leather chair, in an office the size of an auditorium. The walls are lined with shelves, and the shelves are spilling over with books like rushing water. The desk I sit before is made of dark wood, and could be mistaken for a family dining table due to its vastness. In my hand is a brandy glass, and in it is nothing but melting ice.
I am unsure of where I am, or how I came to reside here, but I know that I am warm and safe.
