Whispering Trees
I was walking through the woods on a fine evening hoping to find a spark of inspiration. I sat on a stump with my eyes closed, and listened to the sounds surrounding me. The gentle breeze ran through the leaves, the sun glistened though, I felt as if god was trying to speak to me. The wind got stronger as if the trees started to argue. The wind knocked off leaves, and the crashed to the ground into a pile. I was there to tell the trees my stories and have them hold my secrets. I went there to release my thoughts and feelings and get things off my chest. I opened my eyes to see a small tree in the darkness. It was like no other tree, it was weak but it had a purpose. My heart dropped as I wrote a quick story about the small tree. The small tree had not gotten the strength to grow big and strong like the others. I was nearing my leave of the woods when I read the story aloud to let the other trees know about this weaker tree. I had come back to the woods after a short nice night at home, but something had changed. The weak tree was no longer in the dark, a spot of light surrounded it. I had a smile on my face after seeing this amazing moment. It was as if the trees had heard my story and moved. I come back to this special place everyday and watch the smaller tree grow to be strong. These trees are wise and trusting. I hope someone finds them just as special and helpful as I did.
