Dear Fandoms
Dear Fandoms,
On behalf of everyone in a fandom, I'd like to say thank you. You've taught us very important lessons we will cherish forever. You brought us into the lives of many people. We have went through what they've gone through, both good and bad. People might say that the characters we've grown to love (sometimes really love) aren't real. So what if they're not real? They're better than most of the real people I know. They've gotten me through tough times better than almost anyone else has.
Sure, we might get hurt when a character dies, or a ship sinks, or when some other horific thing happens. But we still love fandoms. It doesn't matter if you read or watch or both. If you're in a fandom, you're one of us. Also, I think we should go by "fandomers" instead of fangirls and fanboys. I mean, what about the people who are neither? (Sorry, this has become more for the fandomers than the fandoms.)
To sum this up, I'd just like to say I am a fandomer, member of Fandoms Unite, and I always will be. If I'm not, (I don't know the future) then I'll make sure my kids are in fandoms (if I have kids). I'm just glad I found my people.
Love,
Peyton
