Teenage Lifestyle
This is our junior year. Studying for the SAT, starting a college resume, and talking to counselors. Me and my friends decided to have our own adventure before senior year. “Zane, are we almost there?” said Corinna. “ Hey Zane, you really have a nice car but how did you get your license?” Brayden said. Well, I took this test at least twenty times but the test was not easy. We arrive at the thrift store and split up to go to a section. As time went on we started to show each other what we were getting. “Well we’re done now”, said Corinna and Natalie. As the guys heard that they were paying money. We all got in the car and headed home as Brayden and Corrina were neighbors. As we got home we went our separate ways, guys with guys and girls with girls. Corinna and Natalie went up to Corinna’s room. When they got there they put their bags down. “So Natalie, do you find anyone attractive?”. Hmmm, I do think this guy is handsome. “Oh my, who is it?”. This guy isn't cute. Do you think Brayden's older brother is cute? Ew. Fine, then who do you think is cute? Well, Tommy's friend is cute. “Which one is in us or a different friend?” said Natalie. No, not y’all buy the tall one with black fluffy hair. Oh him I know who you’re talking about now but you know I overheard Tommy and him talking about you. What did he say about me? He was giving him advice on how he should talk to you. “Oh my, did he ever mention when?” Corinna said. No, he didn’t. Well Natalie, have you seen the clothes I got? Yes, I did. Your style fits you very well, I notice everything is a neutral color or too bright. Yes, I tend to dress to impress myself, not for anyone else. When Brayden and the other guys went into Brayden's room they put everything in the ground and started to talk about their nonsense. “So has anyone actually talked to a girl besides Corinna and Natalie?” Brayden said. Everyone started to think and Atlas and Nick said yes, Zane said no, and Tommy said something like that. “What about you Brayden?” said Tommy. Yeah, but I’m not sure if she wants something serious. Alright buddy, a way to know if a girl actually wants you is if they're showing you interest. “A girl can show you that but still won’t be interested,” said Nick. Well, this girl I’m getting to know is beautiful but very quiet she keeps everything to herself. What about you Atlas? Well, she is a bossy girl but is nice to me when we're alone. She is very beautiful but she reminds me of Corinna. I had feelings for her but I never thought about how she felt about me. I really like how she is. Yes, she’s bossy but very soft. She’s as pretty as the moon and rose pink and red are her colors, beautiful as an angel. Wow, I think you still have feelings for her. I’ll admit I do but I can’t be with her at all I just can’t. After that, Corinna and Natalie started to talk about guys again. So Natalie, who do you find attractive? Well, I do think guys from the show are cute. Oh, show me the show I want to see. Oh my, he is cute. What's his name? His name is Dean. As the guys started to talk about their girl problems Zane got jealous over everything and decided to start drama and expose everyone's secrets. Atlas, didn't you actually confess to Corinna and get rejected? Everyone was looking at Atlas. Yes, I did but don’t be so harsh. Yeah, Brayden even said it’s so annoying always Corinna. Oh, and Nick I can’t forget how you always said Tommy is selfish and Brayden is a nobody. Okay wow, what’s your deal now? Can’t forget about the girls they called us pigs and annoying and how immature we are and Atlas she thought you weren’t good for her. Natalie thinks we are too good for her cause she is a good kid. Brayden and Nick started to argue with each other, but the main part Atlas was more furious. The girls started to come into Brayden's room as they heard they went quiet so they wouldn't argue in front of them. “Hi guys,” said both of them. Hello, said all of them. The room has a lot of tension but their faces say a lot. “So Corinna, why do you think Atlas wasn’t good for you isn’t it because he isn’t good enough? or because you made fun of how corny he is? Or how poorly of a boyfriend he’ll be? Said Zane. Corinna you don’t have to lie I know your response. Atlas what do you mean? I know what you said, don't act dumb. What did I say? I know it wasn’t bad. So crushing my spirit in liking you isn't enough? How dare you insult me like that, you know what’s your problem you like to run your mouth and no guy is willing to put up with you at all. You’re lucky enough that I was putting up with your attitude. Excuse me, for not believing me. All of y’all are just horrible people talking bad about each other. Nick started to push Zane cause everything seemed fake. Brayden and Atlas argued about how corny he is and how he thinks he is mature. Natalie argued with Tommy on the side of how she thinks she’s better than everyone. As Corinna sees everything that’s going on she realizes how unexpected this is. They continued to argue until they snapped out and stormed off. Time passed and disbanded during half their junior year. It’s now their senior year. They’re getting ready to get on the big stage and graduate, get their diploma, and go off to college. Corinna decided to take a trip to the thrift store they always went to. I can’t believe It’s been a year. I remember when I would pick something out and they would be so brutally honest if it’d fit my style. I miss how we would goof around with weird clothing. I just miss my friends. I miss them so much. I can’t keep hanging out by myself, I miss our laughter, I miss our dumb moments, and I miss just being with them in general. Now I'm off to college all alone. No goodbyes, no more hanging out with them, no more talking in general. I never knew how much of a crybaby I am until now. As I got my clothes the lady asked if I was okay. I said no of course, but she knew what happened. She decided to give me advice on it and told me to write them notes so we could all meet one more time and talk about the situation. Today is graduation day. As I got ready to go I wrote the notes and left them at each locker. I waited for them by a spot we hung out at school as they all came rushing. They were shocked. “Is this a setup?” said Tommy. No, I just wanted to spend one more time with y’all before we go to college. Look I miss y’all more than anything. Corinna, I never knew you felt like that. Why didn’t you say that? Zane looks guilty because he knows he hurt all of his friends. He knew he had to apologize because he did a lot of damage. Guys, I have a confession. I made everything up. They all stared blankly at him. Why would you do that? I was jealous over the fact that girls talk to you all and not me and I knew how Atlas liked Corinna and made everything up and with of all of you as well. I’m really sorry this was eating me up every night. Oh my everyone took a moment and processed what had happened. “Look, we don't have time for this, let's hang out before we go to college,” Brayden said. As they hung out they made sure It was fun and memorable. It was now time to walk the stage and get their diplomas. When they got it they took a picture to remember each other. Guys, I’m sorry about everything again. Yeah, the fight was so immature we should have talked it out and then stormed off. When they left Corinna and Atlas were left and decided to talk. “ Hey Corinna, I'm sorry for what I said”. Oh, It’s fine I know I’m bossy but I never said that I tried to tell you but I knew you wouldn’t believe me so I decided to stop. I did like you at one point but I didn’t want to date. I don't want to ruin the friendship. By the way Corinna there will be a guy who will put up with your attitude and loves to be bossed by you. Thank you, Atlas. The summer went on and It was time to move away to college as they cried and said their goodbyes. They all hugged, teared up, and took one more picture before leaving. Their final words were “Good luck y’all”.
