DNA

Steve and his roommate Jacob were   sitting on their living room couch watching TV together on a  Monday night. Several hours pass by when all of a sudden they hear a knock on their door. They both look at each other with a baffled face,  because they have no idea who it could be since they are already together and it's Monday. Steve decides to break the silence and gets up to go answer the door. Once he opens the door all he sees is a young teenage girl, so a flaky                reaches Steve's face. The girl then proceeds to say “ My name is Rosie. I am adopted by two moms and I believe you're my dad”. 

There's a silence between the two of them  because Steve has no idea how to react. “That is impossible,” Steve replies. “ If you’re Steve then yes I think I am right but we can try and take a DNA test to make sure” Rosie says. Rosie then tells him that she is from Kansas and came all the way to LA to find him and her real mom because she was curious. Steve invites her in to process this better. Steve asked her, 'How old are you?’ so he could get at least a timeline of who he has been with. Rosie says “ I am 16 years old “. Steve then remembers he was in his 20’s, 15 years ago. That was very much his going out era so at this point it could honestly be anyone. “Do you think I could stay here, while I am here in LA? Rosie asks Steve. He replies with “Sure, tomorrow we can go see if our DNA’s are a match”. He offers her the guest bedroom. Steve and Jacob go to their bedrooms. Once Steve lays down all  he is thinking about is letting a random teenage girl into his house. 

Steve’s dad died a couple years ago and his mom is in a nursing home, so it’s not like he has much support from his parents. The only one who knows currently is Jacob but they met 5 years ago so he also wouldn’t have much of a clue.
