Traveling is one of the best things you can do in life. You get to see different parts of the world that you have never seen before. You also can experience different cultures and see all different things that are out of the ordinary for yourself. When traveling you can also make bonds that last a lifetime. There are also downsides to traveling. It can be very expensive and stressful to plan a trip. And difficult, this is because you need to follow specific rules if you are going to travel correctly. Traveling by itself is hard, but it's even harder when you are in a worldwide pandemic. When my family and I tried to go to Hawaii it did not work out so well. We were not aware of all of the precautions you needed to take due to the Corona Virus, so it did not end up so well for us. 

In 2020 we had planned to go on vacation to Hawaii and then the Corona Virus came and we had to cancel our trip not once, but twice. The first time was because our whole country went into lockdown so no one could even leave their state. The second time was because we had done the whole covid procedure wrong. 

When trying to fly to go somewhere else you need to take lots of precautions to travel safely. The one that my family had messed up was the covid test. We got our covid test at a smaller business, which is still effective, but not the correct one we were supposed to do. We were supposed to get ours done at a bigger business like CVS or Walgreens. We learned this the hard way. We wake up at about 3 in the morning to get to the airport by 4 so we can get to our flight on time. Once we get there everything is going smoothly… until it was not. BANG! My mom slammed our planning book on the desk of the people who were working at the airport. She was mad because they were telling us that we did the wrong covid test and we could not board the plane. My brothers and dad and I were also very angry. My little brother Lukas started crying like rain. It was because we were all so excited to go to Hawaii but our trip was canceled literally last minute. It was devastating, a trip of a lifetime down the drain just because of one silly mistake.
