Time is a snowball, rolling down a hill, getting bigger and bigger until something makes it stop. Her final breaths of air still linger in his mind. His precious daughter, the only one he ever had, is gone. Ever since her disease was discovered, everything snowballed until her last gasp for air. His life seemed to end as hers did. Icy tears roll down his cheeks like tiny snowballs. He stands in the cold January air by her gravestone. Kneeling down in the snow, he kisses the cold, hard, emotionless stone. He tries to stand up, but he can’t seem to escape the overwhelming emotions of sadness, sorrow, and loss tying him down. He cries out, but there is no one to hear him. His knuckles turn white as he grasps the stone tighter as the snowball tears continue to fall. Her face haunts his mind. The icy wind slices at his chapped skin, but he no longer cares. Time continues move on for everyone else, but for this man, it has seemed to stop like a snowball hitting a wall.
