A Final Act
I inhaled deeply, filling my lungs with the cold, misty air that was blowing my hair in all directions. I could feel it whipping wildly at my face. Looking around, I smiled, then closed my eyes. It didn't just feel like I was flying, it looked like it, too. The thought was exhilarating! I'd always dreamed of flying, well, flying without a man-made creation. And at that moment, I was. Nobody knew where I was; nor did they know what I was doing. I would never tell a soul. It was almost disappointing to think that they wouldn't know how thrilling it was. But it's probably better that way. I felt so alive! I knew, however, that ironic feeling would only be short lived. My destination was approaching quickly. And soon after, everyone would discover what I had done. I thought about this one more time, and finally, i accepted it.
