Days of starvation to help me prepare for the first interview apparently were not enough. As the cold tape wrapped around my bare skinny waist I looked down at the woman’s chubby fingers. She wrote down the rather small numbers and looked up with a look of arrogance yet concern.

“Sweetie…um… your measurements aren’t quite the size were looking for.”

“Oh…Okay” with a shaking smile, was all I could muster up in response.

“Especially with your height on the shorter side, we really need you to be as narrow as possible.”

Narrower? How can a 5’9, 125lbs girl become narrower?

Grabbing my toothbrush, I kneeled by the toilet once again.
