MAX GETS UP FAST TO AVOID ANY MORE YELLING. HE CAN SEE THAT HIS DAD IS IN A BAD MOOD, AGAIN.

HE PULLS UP HIS PANTS WHILE BRUSHING HIS TEETH. TO GET OUT HIS DAD’S WAY, MAX GRABS A BOTTLE OF WATER; PUTS ON HIS CONVERSE AND TRIES TO RUSH OUT.

MAX!!

Max
Yes, Dad

Dad
Take out the trash!

Max
I’m going to be late for the bus if I do.

Dad
Does it look like I care? And don’t talk back.

Max
Yes, Dad
MAX RUNS BACK TO THE KITCHEN, AND TAKES OUT THE GARABGE. THEN MAX HEARS A HONK FROM A BUS.
Max
Oh my god.
MAX RUNS OUT THE DOOR.
Max (V.O)
As you see here, I’m running for my life. And I know I’m going to get it from Dad when I come home; but right now this is really important. REALLY IMPORTANT.

MAX GETS ON THE BUS. HIS DAD RUSHES OUT THE DOOR, AND YELLS AT HIM BUT MAX CAN’T HEAR HIM SINCE THE DOORS CLOSE.

MAX TRIES TO FIND SEAT ON THE BUS, BUT NO ONE MOVES OVER. FINDING HIMSELF TOWARDS THE BACK OF THE BUS NEXT TO A WALL COVERED WITH DRIED GUM.

Max (V.O)
I’m on my way to a living nightmare.

THE BUS PARKS IN THE PARKING LOT. EVERYONE GETS OFF THE BUS EXCEPT MAX.
Bus Driver
Hey kid, get off the bus. I don’t have all day.

Max
I’m sorry.

Bus Driver
Hey, are you ok?

Max
Oh, yeah, I’m fine.

MAX SLOWLY GETS OFF THE BUS. ONCE HE’S OFF HE LOOKS BOTH WAYS TO MAKE IT SAFE.
Lorenzo (A fourteen year old, in a black and red stripe shirt)
Hey!
MAX INGORES HIM, AND WALKS TO HIS CLASS.







Donte (An oversized fourteen year old, in a jogging suit)
Hey, we’re talking to you punk.
MAX STARTS RUNNING. BUT LORENZO AND DONTE CATCHES UP, AND TACKLES HIM.

What are you deaf? I’m talking to you Max.

Max (V.O)
I’m dead, I’m dead! Dead I tell you!
LORENZO AND DONTE BEAT MAX UP.
Teacher
Get off of him!
THE BOYS RUNS AWAY FROM THE TEACHER, AND THEACHER HELPS MAX UP.
Teacher
Are you okay?
Max
No I’m not— yeah, I’m fine.
Teacher
If these kids are bullying you should talk to—
MAX INRERRUPTS THE TEACHER.
Max
I said I was fine! Anyway thanks for the help.
Teacher
Your welcome, have a nice day.
JUST BEFORE MAX LEAVES THE TEACHER GIVES HIM ONE OF THOSE I’M-GOING-TO-KEEP-AN-EYE-ON-YOU LOOKS. MAX RUNS INTO THE SCHOOL AND HEADS TO HIS NEXT CLASS.

SCREEN GOES BLACK

A BELL RINGS AND MAX WALKS OUT OF THE SCHOOL. HE LOOKS TO HIS LEFT AND HIS RIGHT. THEN LORENZO’S GIRLFRIEND PASS BY, MAX CAN’T HELP BUT DROOLING.

LORENZO PUSHES MAX TO THE GROUND AND RUNS TO PAIGE.

LORENZO INGORES MAX, AND WALKS WITH PAIGE. PAIGE GIVES AN UNPLEASED FACE BACK TO MAX. MAX STARTS TO HEAD HOME.

MAX TURNS ON THE COMPUTER, AND GOING ON A CHATROOM. AND SIGNS IN AS “Max is winning 03”
IN THE CHATROOM:

MAX STARTS TO CRY BUT THEN HE REALIZES THE CHATROOM IS TAKEN OVER BY SOMEONE ELSE.
IN THE CHATROOM:

the masked hero42: Seems like you’re the only idiot.
