Traffic Lights (Troll Version)
Traffic Lights
I was driving in our new car; well I planned on making it my new car. My family was growing, I had two children and my wife was pregnant, it was going to be twins apparently. So we were all driving in this second hand Volvo XC60, but it was a very good deal. In fact I was driving it back to the dealership so I could buy it right now!
We drove on but unfortunately I seemed to have got lost, we came to a crossroad, the traffic lights were red.
“You have to turn left, Dad” said my 9 year old son Conor, ‘I’m sure of it’
“Shush,” said my wife “Let your Father decide”
‘Oh hell no, I had no idea where it was. But when in doubt turn right, right?’
And the lights turned green and I started the engine.
I drove on and we had moved scarcely one hundred metres when;
WHAM
A truck came flying out of a side street and collided with us head on, the last thing I heard before I passed out was my wife screaming.
When I woke again the driver of the truck was pulling me out
“Don’t worry the ambulance are on their way,” the driver said.
“Where are my family?” I asked, in a rasping voice that was not my own
The grim look on his face told me what I feared.
‘ARGHHHHH’
The rage inside me gave me strength to get up, I laid all my fury into him I felt the satisfying crunch of his nose, minutes past with me laying into him. I knew the authorities had arrived when I felt arms behind me, but I had no strength to push them away. I passed out again for the second time that day.
When I woke up I was in the hospital just across from me was the truck driver, a wordless scream of pure rage erupted from my mouth. I leapt up but my arms were restrained by some cords. I was still angry but I realized I wouldn’t be able to kill him... Yet...
I looked around for my family, but they weren’t here which meant they were safe, or...... No I wouldn’t think those thoughts. I lay there for quite a while until a nurse came to check up on me.
“Oh good you’re awake I’ll have the doctor come to you in bit.” Stated the nurse
“Where are they? Where are my family?’ I screamed
“I’m very sorry, but-”
“NOOOOOO!!!! You’re lying! I know you are”
. . .
I stood on top of the stool, wondering whether to do it or not. I had nothing left to be here for. My wife was dead, my children were dead. All because of some moron who hadn’t looked left and right before he drove onto the road. Well I knew whose fault it was... I would do this... For them. ... I would see them again.... What if I had turned left? ...
I jumped and the noose throttled me.
The last thing I saw was my lotto ticket falling from my pocket, I HAD ONE 100 MILLION, NOOOO, I tried ripping the noose off but it didn’t work, FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF who needs family? I just need money!
The End XD
