Victoria's Secret

All alone but not alone. How can she be alone in a crowded room? Looking around she sees smiling faces, she's smiling too. But behind her smile, behind her laugh, she's crying. No one sees the hurt she feels, no one even takes the time to look deep enough to see it. No one will ever know her secret.
At night in the mirror she looks at herself. She don't see someone pretty, no she sees everything else. She locks her door, grabs her blade and cuts all the pain away. The scarlet tears covering her arm are washed away taking every word from the day with them. She hides the knife among the floorboards and crying herself to sleep. She muffles the sounds so no one hears her secret.
She listens to the hurtful words, she stares straight into their hated glares. She knows she should just ignore but it won't stop and its too much to bare. She loves the world but hates herself. Thinking maybe one day someone will care but it never happens. Her boyfriend left her, her family hates her. That's exactly how she feels. Her brothers words hurt the most. Every night those words add another scar unto her secret.
One day she didn't want to go on. She grabs her knife and fills the tub. Writes the letter and locks the door. This is where she begins her end. She was tired of being hurt, tired of feeling, she didn't want no more scars. Now everyone can see her secret.
She wanted to change the world, make it better, that's what her family said . Her life is over never again feeling her mother's embrace. She hid herself from the world, but now everyone knows Victoria's Secret.
