Tears fell from my eyes as I kissed her on the check and whispered in her ear, “I love you.” I still couldn’t grasp onto what was happening. I felt alone, scared, and like I didn’t belong here. I took one last glance at her before they put the sheet over her beautiful face. She was gone, I could hardly breathe, I couldn’t believe she was dead. He was going to pay for killing her; I would make sure of that. As I drove away from the hospital, all I could think about was hurting him, hurting him the way he hurt me, the way he hurt Jen. I parked the car right outside of his house, I knew what I had to do. I took the gun from under the seat and loaded it, he was going to pay. I rang the doorbell, when he came to the door, I pointed the gun at him and said, “You deserve to be killed, you deserve to be dead, not Jen.” He looked at me with sorrow in his eyes and replied, “I know.” I pointed the gun up and shot. He looked at me and said, “Why didn’t you shoot me?” I handed him a card and walked to my car. He stood there almost in tears as he read the card. The Grace Card.
