If you believe
Ever since I watched my first baseball game, I knew that I wanted to play baseball. As I was growing up Baseball games were always on the television in our house. I started playing baseball when I was five years old, and I practiced play every day so that I would become a better player. As a youngster, my favorite baseball player was Jim Thome. He was first baseman for the Philadelphia Phillies. My dream was to play as well as Jim Thome played baseball. I knew that Jim Thome worked very hard to play in Major League Baseball, so I worked very hard and I hoped that I would become a great MLB baseball player. When I first started playing baseball I could not swing the bat correctly. I had to practice very had to get a better swing.
In order for me to become a better baseball player, I had to sign up to take baseball lessons at the All Star Baseball Academy. I took lessons there for a year, so I could learn the proper way to bat, catch, and throw the ball. After these lessons, I practiced everyday in my yard with my dad, so I could acquire better baseball skills. Every day after school we practiced for at least an hour on batting and throwing the ball. I signed up for every baseball league that was available for me to play in so that I would get the practices that I need to better my baseball skills. I signed up for spring baseball, fall baseball and I played in tournament teams.
The more I played baseball, the better I became at learning the sport. I did not start out very well, but I was not going to give up. I was not going to quite. I learned how to play all bases so that I would always have a position to play in the game. Playing all positions was a good thing to learn, because you could have more chances to play in the game. I even learned how to pitch, so I could also pitch if needed. I was very dedicated to the game. I wanted to make the tournament team so I knew that I had to give the game all that I could give. I spent many hours on the field and had to give up other activities so I could make the tournament team. I believed that if I dedicated myself to playing baseball, I could make the tournament team. I believed in myself. I did make the tournament team that year.
I believe if you want to be successful in life, you have to work hard and be motivated to accomplish your goals. Motivation is the key to success. Accomplishing your goals may not come easy because sometimes you have to fail before you can be successful. I believe if you enjoy what you do in life this will help you do a better job at whatever career you choose.
Believing in yourself is the first thing you need to do before you can accomplish your goals. If you want to accomplish your goals in life, you first have to believe that you can achieve these goals. You sometimes have to give up things to achieve your goals but it will work out for you if you believe.
