The attic prisoner
The attic prisoner
Danielle was just like any 5 year old Girl. But there were things that made her completely different. Danielle was a girl in the attic, alone, forgotten but surviving. She had to be dead silent when they were home. For if she made so much as a peep her parents who were more like demons from hell that haunted this poor girls very existence they would beat her till she couldn't stand. She had been there since he could remember.
When they were gone the attic turned into a wondrous place for Danielle. When they were gone the attic turned into Danielle's kingdom. The old mattress leaning on the wall and the table next to it was her kingdom where she had her servants and all she could ever want she would save her breakfast lunch and dinner (she only got a small dry piece of bread for breakfast and dinner and for lunch she got an old rotten piece of fruit or vegetable) each day. But in her castle that little bit of food became a magnificent feast that would feed her whole castle.
She was the princess of the land of attic and the queen was an old rag that she tied into a rag doll and in her kingdom when they were gone that rag doll turned into the most beautiful woman you have seen in your life. She had long flowing golden hair. Her face was soft and kind and her eyes were a beautiful soft green with a deep golden brown in the center. She was tall and thin with a white dress that flowed in the breeze. Her voice was soft, warm and inviting. it sounded like the a soft wind blowing through the air and brushing against the fall leaves. The king was an old coat rack but when they were gone that old rack turned into the strongest most handsome man you have seen. He was tall and had dark longer hair with dark but kind sea green eyes. His eyes alone were enough to entrance you. His skin was a dark olive that shined in the sun. He wore clothes that made the nicest suit look like a rag. His voice was strong but kind and gentle. When he spoke it was as if the birds in all the world were singing a beautiful melody.
There was an old stuffed animal cat that was missing an eye and had little holes all over it. But when they were gone that cat turned into a majestic beautiful black panther that was Danielle's best friend. It had the strength of ten men and protected Danielle from anything that came to harm her.
This, that hauntingly morbid attic that imprisoned Danielle for as long as she could remember was her kingdom where she was loved by all and where huge balls where held. Her castle was full of green fields of grain where her people grew and farmed all they needed to survive.
Danielle was in her kingdom and one of the kingdoms luxurious balls when she heard the sound she dreaded most on this planet. The door opened and shut. As she fled from her castle to her box where she was supposed to stay she ran into the king. When she got to her box she looked back just in time to see the coat rack fall over and slam onto the floor with a loud thud that echoed through the attic. She was frozen with fear. All her kingdom held there breathe to scared to breath. The she heard it. The blood freezing hatred scream of her name. Danielle scurried to the very back of her little box sitting there to scared to breath, to scared to move. She heard footsteps tromping up the stairs. She heard the door on the floor slam open. Her name was again screamed. Then she heard nothing. She was still wondering what was happening. She heard a floor board creak and the next thing she knew her box was flung over and she was now on her back. Something grabbed her ankle and yanked her out of the box. It was the horrible woman. Danielle started screaming "no no. I'm sorry it won't happen again I promise. I'm sorry!" Despite her begging and pleading the beating went on.
She lay still there on the floor. Not because she was to scared to move but this time she was not able to move. She lay there silently sobbing to herself. She wanted to hug her mother but she couldn't. All she wanted was to be loved and accepted by her mother.
As she lay there the queen came to her and helped lift her up and took her to her castle. There she lay in a magnificent soft warm bed. She lay there and let herself drift off.
Danielle was woken by a loud bang and lots of yelling. She just laid there knowing they could do nothing worse to her than what they had already done. She felt the stomping feet coming up the stairs. She could her him stumbling and knew that he was severely drunk. He pushed open the door and crawled into the attic. He was yelling her name repeatedly. She could tell he was very angry but she didn't care what they did to her at this point. The queen and king were standing in front of her.
The mattress was thrown across the room. The table was flipped over on its side which snapped the king in half. Danielle wanted to cry out but she couldn't. she was too weak. He was holding a strange rod thing that Danielle had never seen before. She reached over and clutched the queen in her arms. She heard a loud noise that scared her. She felt her chest twist like someone beat her over and over in the same spot. She looked down and saw blood coming from her. And the queens beautiful white dress what now scarlet red. Danielle got cold she looked up at her father and said "I'm sorry" and with that she fell to the ground cold and still.
She awoke to bright lights shining in her face. She tried to move but she had tubes sticking out of her arms. She stated screaming. Sever people in purple outfits rushed through a door toward her. She started kicking and screaming. Loud beeps started coming from all around her. All the people and all the noise frightened her so much. She didn't know what to do she was scared she just wanted to go to her castle in her attic where she could be free from all this and where she could be happy. The people around her finally got her to calm down and told her that everything would be ok and that she would never be hurt again by anyone. Everyone eventually left her alone in her room to sleep. She dreamed that the queen and king were there. They told her that they were the to protect her and that they were going to take her away from her awful memories.
The queen and king both took her hands and helped her out of the bed. The wall melted away to reveal a beautiful grand staircase. The girl was started for a moment and stopped. The king knelled down next to her and told her not to be afraid. We're taking you to your new castle. The girl smiled up at the king and queen and said "Things are going to be better there huh?"
They both reassured her things would be much better there.
