Date Night
Once upon a time a young couple were having dinner in a nice restaurant. They had started seeing each other about two weeks prior and had really hit it off. Their names were Martin and Stephanie. Martin was a lawyer in a private law firm and Stephanie was a nurse at a local hospital, and they had a lot of things in common.
On this particular night, their conversation had turned to high school memories. They discussed different stories they had. Martin reminisced about a concert he and his band put on at school and how for the rest of the year he was referred to as “Martin The Rockstar.” Stephanie shared a story about a makeup disaster she had junior year at prom and how she went to prom looking like a clown.
All of a sudden, Stephanie looked Martin straight in the eyes and told him to tell her a joke. Martin struggled for a second then said “What did the fisherman say to the magician? Pick a cod! Any cod!”
Stephanie looked at him for a second then said, “I’m sorry, I can’t date somebody who’s not funny.” And she left.
