Envy is Never Satisfied

Envy has pale blonde hair. Braided in around her head, and curled at the edges. She wears makeup so heavy, you couldn’t tell what she looks like underneath. Her eyes are blue, the color of the sparkling ocean with dots of seafoam. She wears a green dress, bejeweled with golden beads, proclaiming her wealth. The dress is long, and heavy, and she complains all the way down her long walk. When she arrives, she sits in her chair with everyone else. Her chair is 1 inch taller, and 2 inches plushier, but she still calls out for somebody to bring her another pillow. Everybody talks in a low hushed voice, and Envy leads the conversation. Today everyone will be given their gift. The world always does this for the lucky emotions. The first person who walks to the stage is Hope. She has a yellow shirt on, and a simple white skirt. She walks up to the stage briskly and is handed a picture of an alleyway and smog, all around. She smiles brightly and walks off the stage. A few more go by getting simple gifts, some better than others. Humble walks quietly to the stage. She is handed a picture of a crown, smiles brightly and hands the photo back. The people won’t take it. She says thank you and walks away holding her crown photo tightly. Envy approaches slowly, soaking in the moment. As she looks down to see a photo of money, the planet, and people. She groans. Envy huffs slightly taking her photo down the stage. She approaches Humble. She slaps a fake smile on her perfect face. Envy is a snake, Envy is never done. Envy will never be satisfied.

I wrote this as a way to represent emotions.
