The Monkey Girl
Once upon a time there was a girl named Lila and she was walking in the forest behind her house, when she suddenly heard a noise behind a bush. “Hello, who is there?” There was no answer. She was suddenly knocked out by a brown blur. She woke up in her bed the next day, unsure of what had happened. Her head was throbbing from being knocked out. As she was passing her mirror to go get an ice pack, she saw a monkey out of the corner of her eye. She was surprised at this sight and slowly backed up. When Lila came to the front of her mirror, she almost fell back at sight of the image in the mirror. She had noticed that she had monkey features attached to her body, such as: a tail, monkey ears, and fur like texture on her arms. Lila thought that someone was paying a joke on her, yet she tugged on the tail that sat behind her and it was stuck like glue. Astonished, Lila headed towards the kitchen and proceeded to grab an ice pack. She had thought that if she were to go to bed then in the morning the monkey like features would be gone. Lila was trying to hide from her family members because she did not know what they would think of it. Instead, she headed to her bedroom to get some sleep.
The next day was Lila’s first day of public school. Lila woke up and hesitantly headed for her mirror, she seemed to be back to normal. She began to have the thought that it was just a dream- but it had felt so real. Lila went through the day, unsure of the future. If it had not been a dream, would she suddenly become a monkey girl in the middle of class? Unable to focus in class, she went to the bathroom to clear her mind. This was not normal and Lila was freaking out. With her mind clear, she headed back to class. When she got home, she was too distracted to do her homework, so she went walking in the forest to think. It was around 7:00 and Lila fell to the ground.
