The Last Journey

September 13, 2012

Traveling on past the sea, traveling on past the land, I find myself lost in dark crippling fog. The last light of our torch gives out, almost as if to say this is the end. The wind howl's like a wolf, hunting for a victim with its sheer bright eyes. Oh Odin, great mighty god, watch over us, don't abandon us on the struggle. Keep watch of us.
The night seems to be getting darker and darker by the minute. I see nothing now, no moon, no shore, no rocks. All I am now is a blind vessel, navigating through the nothingness. I can hear the rocks, whispering "Come, I will make you whole with the sea." I can feel myself, trembling when all of a sudden, I feel a sharp agonizing pain on my side. I feel the cold black water devouring me now until I am no more.
