The Window Made of Webs
The window made of webs was the thing that haunted me.
It was the only escape yet I could never get to it.
Always just out of reach.
So, so, close.
Yet so very far.
If I could just reach it.
I knew I could escape this forever lasting nightmare.
Then it happened.
I finally was in reach of the window made of webs.
My finger tips brushed its cool, cracked surface.
Then it shattered.
It exsploded.
Time stopped.
The shards of glass hung in the air like razor edged snowflakes.
I pulled my hand back an looked around at the scene around me.
That was it.
To escape I had to be destroyed.
That was the only way to escape this lonely nightmare.
I had to feel destruction.
I had to know it personally.
I had to be it.
I closed my eyes an breathed in one last breath of cold lonely air.
I listened to the sounds of the exsplosion rush back.
Then all was silent.
