My little brother and I have always loved looking through our family photo albums, but we stopped when we came to the photographs of his funeral.

This piece was inspired by the fear of loss, especially of the closest family members, that everyone experiences in their life. When thinking of how I would present this fear, I remembered my family has a ton of old family photo albums that I used to look over again and again when I was child and came up with this.
