The lockdown

As I walk out into the hallway I noticed the awkward silence. As I keep walking I notice the new artwork up on the wall. As I look at the self portrait of me I just notice how much it looks like me. I keep walking to my destination the nurse’s office. As I walk past the office I notice people in the office arguing about a phone call that they got saying a guy was coming but they did not know who it was.

As I am walking back from the nurse. I walk slowly because I have no erg to get back to class any time soon. And then I heard it. A loud noise it was not a fire drill. I had to think about it for a little bit but then I came to my senses DA it was the drill for an intruder I could not believe it must be the guy that the people in the office were talking about. I freak out they announce it over the intercom that the guy is armed and dangerous. They also said to get into a classroom quick because the guy is moving fast.

I am running around trying to open the doors slamming my fists on the doors screaming . Why won’t they let me in are they just going to leave me out here to get murdered. I can not believe it. I keep running around trying to open the doors it’s no use I sit down in the middle of the hall way as if not to care as to live or die.

As I am about to give up I came up with an idea. I will hide in the school elevator. As I was thinking about that my heart sank. What would happen if the elevator doors open and then the guy is standing right in front of me pointing a gun at my head. I told my self to suck it up and risk that more than risk sitting in the hallway and giving up. I keep walking towards the elevator. As I get in and the doors shut I breath a sigh of relief. I feel safe the best feeling in the world. As I keep going up and down in the elevator I wonder what would happen if he could here the elevator and was on his way to wait at the other end. I could picture him just standing there grinning knowing that I was at his fingertips and not yet knowing how to kill me. All of that made me want to get out of the elevator. I did not know what I would do once I got out but I would have to think fast.

As I was getting down from ground level my heart was pounding not wanting to know what was on the other side of the elevator doors. I shut my eyes as the elevator doors open and then slowly open them when I did not see the guy I slowly crept out and then out of nowhere I saw his shadow I pretty big figure standing around the corner and then I ran giving one last effort banging on all of the doors as I was banging on the last door and turning away I felt a hand on my shoulder before I could freak out I was inside a dark room with all of my fellow students. They had many questions for me and I had many question for them.

As we were sitting in dead silence just waiting for the call to come over the intercom saying that the guy had been caught we saw the face of the man up against the glass on the door he did not appear to have seen us but I did not matter he could not get in even if he wanted to. The dead silence of the classroom was so creepy you could here a bird from outside. Then the guy came back trying the door handle and then he left for good.
The announcement came over the intercome saying that the guy was caught buy Robert Sykes. He took him down from behind and then the cops came. I herd that he has to spend about 9 months in jail for assault. Thank god that all that is over and I made it out safe.
