The light
The sound of thunder is intimidating, as I lay here in bed. As I look out the window I see these flashes in the distance. It makes me wonder where these flashes of light my dad calls lighting, come from. I raced onto the computer and look it up, but found nothing.
The next day I woke up and the sky was clear and there was no lighting left. The only sound was the sound of birds chirping. I decided to take a walk into the library to try to find a book on lighting. I found this wonderful book and found my answer. I found that up in the cloud small bits of ice bounce around together and form electrical charges. Through a series of steps that’s how lighting is made.
During the next thunderstorm as I laid in bed I did not sit in fear, I sat there curious and thrilled and love to learn about how nature occurs.
