Life is not an mp3 where you can chose what's being played, but life is a radio where you have to enjoy what's being played.- Zayn Malik.

I was sitting on my couch one evening when I noticed some muddy footprints leading to the kitchen. I got up and followed them where they suddenly stopped in the middle if the floor. I looked outside the window and there was the same footprints in the snow. I put on my coat and boots and went outside. I followed the footprints and they lead to our old swingset. On one of the swings there was a note. It read:
So you have found clue one. Keep looking around because you will soon find out who I am and why your the chosen one.
Chosen one? What does that mean? Nobody was home so I was left to figure this out myself. Ugh! I walked inside to find a note on the kitchen table:
So you've found clue two. One more clue to go. I'll give you a hint creepy and dark with no light. Are you scares to go where spiders crawl?
The attic! I have always been afraid of the attic, but this time I had to go find out what was going on. I grabbed a flashlight and walked up the stairs to the attic. When I got into the attic I turned my flashlight on and looked around. I stopped at an old phone that was ringing. I went to go answer it but the other line was dead. It was probably just a glitch. Then it started to ring again. I picked it up. "So you've found clue three. Remember the time you read mysteries and wanted to have one of your own. Well this is your mystery." The voice on the other lime said. "Who are you ?" I asked. The other line went dead. The door opened and a bright light flashed in, blinding me. Then I was back on the couch watching my show.

I for one am a HUGE sucker for mystery stories and I think that you should put a little more detail into the story and maybe add a bit of a background to yourself as to why you have always wanted a mystery. Also if you spaced the clues out a little bit father apart and maybe add something alarming or dangerous to it you would make it a lot more suspensful. Keep writing because you could be even more amazing!
