I sat at the rock in the desert. No one was in sight. I felt pure air touch the back of my neck as if someone was blowing. It had been hours of walking through the soft watered down sand. Daylight had soon become night. I spent hours sitting writing everything that came to mind in my journal; big, huge, giant, a dangerous creature. After a good sleep, I went off on my journey early the next day. As I walked through the pouring rain, I look down below my feet and see a foot print. I picked up my camera and snapped a picture before there would be nothing left. Soon after I snapped a picture, I put together my things and ran back to my tent. I soon then arrived. I carefully examined the pictures of the footprint, comparing it with the words I wrote in my journal. They matched. I waited for the weather to slow down, and then carried along my hunt. Nothing was found. I gave up. Day after day, I went back and forth from my journal to the footprint. My evidence was gone. I only had a picture. If there were any more prints, then they had dissolved from the rain. This was my new mission. This was my new project. Coming up with nothing for a couple of days, I picked up the phone and called my partner in crime, the one and only Tim. What he basically said was that if there is no evidence that can be seen in person, even if you have a picture, that won't help. After hearing the news, I became very frustrated. I worked very hard. I have slept on a hard rock for over seventy-two hours. I ran back to that same exact spot where I saw the footprint. It was completely erased. The sand became stale and dry. It had hardened. That day I packed my bags and went back to the office. Now, three years later, this case still lays a mystery. This creature hasn't been found, and is now probably half way across the world. This case stays unknown.

I have always liked mysteries. I love nature and deserts, so I thought what would make a better story then writing about something that would entertain people of all ages. I tried to apply a feeling to this story that anyone would understand. This to me is a clear mystery.
