We are torn between nostalgia for the familiar and an urge for the foreign and strange. As often as not, we are homesick most for the places we have never known.


   She is a mystery. She never talks and her eyes say very little. She moves with grace but never acknowledges a single person.

   She has black hair and grey eyes. Rumors can be heard all over though no one is certain of who she is or where she is from.

   When the rain pelts against the sides of the brick buildings and the sky no longer hints of the sun, she is seen walking slowly through the puddles that are forming on the sidewalk. If you call out to her in convern, she just turns around and staires into your soul with out flinching a muscle.

   When the sun is out, she plays an ongoing game of hide and seek making it obvious that she does not want to be found.

   Ever since she suddenly arrived that dark, foggy night late last fall, this town has changed. A huge secret seems to linger around the town. Neighbors are no longer trusted. Families often question eachother, and , well, some people do not survive the night. This town is not safe. Our town is not safe. She must go...

As my first story, I wanted to see people's reactions. This is more than just a one part story, I just wanted to see if anyone liked it and if I schould continue writing it. If ya'll don't mind, please post feed back and tell me what i could do to make it better as well as if ya'll would like for me to contunue the story. Thanks!
