“Happy Anniversary Hun! what would you love to do? Oh! i know how bout we take a drive down to New Orleans, you always wanted to go there right?” said Michael Walden. Yes it was Michael and Jennifer Walden's wedding anniversary. They planned to go out to New Orleans the city of jazz and great seafood. It was the perfect vacation especially since Michael was always travelling away from his family because of the Army. It was all perfect except for one thing, who would watch over the kids? They went around town asking for babysitters. Of course there son who was 14 believed he didn't need a babysitter he was a “man” now but his parents were too cautious about leaving a 14 year old home alone with a 8 year old for two days.

After searching and searching they finally found the perfect one, or at least they thought. Her name was Jane, a college student. They brought her over to meet the kids and they loved her! That was one less thing they had to worry about. So the next morning they packed up and left for the trip feeling good and full of excitement.

They arrived to the city, it was livid with different people. sweet jazz roared, seeping into every crack and crevice of the streets. They quickly checked into the hotel and went out into the city. They went from restaurant to restaurant trying different foods and well lets just say the alcohol was getting to them.

It was getting late, about 2:30 in the morning and they decided to call it a night. Walking back to the hotel they notice a car following slowly behind. At first they dismiss it but after about ten minutes it was still stalking. Jennifer grabbed Michael’s hand tighter while his free hand turned into a fist. Michael signaled them to start running. They turned down an alleyway but it was a dead end, they turned around blinded by headlights. Next thing you know two men jumped out of the van and tackled them down and dragged them back.

It was black and all they could hear was the two men arguing about an upcoming boxing match. Suddenly the van stopped and they were pulled out and dragged to a building. They got strapped up to chairs and their blindfolds we're taken off. To their surprise it was Jane! The first thing they thought of was the kids and wondered if they were safe.
Jane kept them hostage until they transferred $20,000 into her bank account to help pay for school. Michael and Jennifer kept refusing for days, they couldn't afford that, they would lose so much. But they had to keep in mind of the children, they were all alone.
finally they gave in, they transferred the money. Jane had made a promise to get them home safe after the transaction and she kept it.

Just when they thought things couldn't get worse they came home to police at the house and they were arrested. They were arrested for neglecting their children and leaving them alone for a week. They cried to the police trying to explain what happened and the cops didn't believe it. what a perfect anniversary.
