The sedan

I wake up,ready to start the school day.I look to my right,”It’s 10:00 am?!” I groan
“Mom why didn’t you wake me up”no response.”Mom??”. I leave to look for her
I find her there in the kitchen staring at the wall, pale, thinking hard you could see it by the look in her eyes.I go up to her and put a gentle hand on her shoulder”Mom?” I say, nothing.”Mom” I say a little louder that gets her attention.”Yes honey” she tells me in the same voice she always says when something’s wrong.”Can you take me to school?’’ ‘’Of course honey,of course’’.
We leave into the driveway,as I begin to enter the car as I do I stop and see a black, tinted out sedan”strange I mumble to myself’’
During the school day I couldn’t stop thinking about the black sedan and how that could be related to how strange my mother was acting.
When the day ends no one comes to get me.’’Need a ride’’ a friend asks “Sure I say”.When we get there I see the same black sedan”Know them”,she asks’’Yeah’’ I say not really sure why.I thank them as they drive off.I enter the house when I do I see my mom lying in a pool of blood 10 feet from the doorway, shocked I turn around to try to leave through the doorway. There standing in the doorway is my dad.My mom had left him years ago,he was a drunk never had a job and couldn’t support us.He had threatened to hurt us so my mom filed a restraining order. He obviously didn’t care.’’It’s okay sydney your mom’s out of the way we can be a family now’’I shriek,as he runs up to me and puts a cloth to my mouth.I black out.I was never found again.
