That one day.....
One quet cold fall morning, I woke up and went to my balcony to overlook my lair. I had to wear a sweater because it was quite chilly. I took in a big breath of fresh air. There was one aroma that I couldn’t get my nose off of. The smell of the doughnut shop lingered in my nostrils as I had gotten ready for today’s walk. I had prepared my quest to the doughnut shop by binging my wallet. That wallet was a life saver. It was a medium sized wallet with black stitches and my name was clearly printed on the inside of the wallet in golden letters. I had walked down the cold stone steps and walked down the jagged sidewalk and down to the end of the block before Mr. scuffles scratched at the door. I could hear the cat attacking the glass door from the other side of the street. Mr. scruffles was a golden cat with white streaks over his body. I went back up the block and the jagged steps before reaching the long cold stone steps and finally reached the porch.
After all that walking, I was really in the mood for some nice big juicy doughnuts. I quickly ran toward the shop where I would find out that I was first. I felt like I had the whole store to myself until Bob came into the store. Bob was a well-known rich guy who everyone hated. He always wanted to be rich alone until my parents came and bought me a home next door this guy. Bob was short, fat and had a long combover. He would always brag about how he would buy every single store in the area. Life was tough living next door to Bob. Ever since I left the city, i had missed my parents and the life I used to live before moving next to Bob.
I continued on down to find my favorite box of doughnuts. There I stood looking down to find that my box of doughnuts wasn’t there. It felt awkward because this never happened ever. It felt weird because I was usually the only person who ever buys those type of doughnuts. I went up to Brittany, who works as the cashier, and I asked her what had happened to the boxes of doughnuts that were supposed to be here. She told me that a man who looked shady had bought all 20 of the boxes. I was surprised enough to stop and wonder who would do such a thing. I went down to the original doughnuts aisle and bought 2 boxes.
I went home wondering what was going on. I noticed someone following me. I turned to see 2 senior citizens walking to the coffee shop down the road. I went back up the jagged sidewalk and waked up the stone steps. I entered the house with the smell of my usual doughnuts. I knew that I hadn’t bought my doughnuts so I was suspicious. I went to the trash bag I and I smelled last week’s doughnuts. I took the trash out and I felt some weight get off of my shoulder. I went into the dining area and I sat down to eat my doughnuts. I ate at least 100 before I hopped in the shower. I heard weird sounds coming from the living room. I thought it was my imagination so I didn’t worry. I heard the loudest bang. I dropped the soap and hear a smash from the door. I saw a dreary image of this human being rushing at me. I heard the most horrifying scream from my cat. I knew Mr. scruffles was in trouble. I saw the other door behind the shower which led to my closet and took the opportunity to run away from this crook. Just as I was about to grab Mr. Scruffles, I smelled my favorite doughnuts. I immediately knew that it was this man who bought all my doughnuts. I was so furious I ran back at the man lying on the ground punching him left and right until he was knocked out. I grabbed the rest of the doughnuts and walked out thinking I saved myself and my cat. Then, I strolled out to find out that this man wasn’t alone. There was a whole bike gang that was waiting outside for me. I ran back indoors to find the Man was up and he had a gun. He smiled and put the gun to my head. He tried to keep me hostage but I hit him in the hand and the gun dropped. I opened the shoe closet to find a hammer. I smashed the gun into pieces and the man looked up too see me. I had the meanest look on my face. He pleaded to me that he wanted to live and that he was sorry. I didn't want to to hit him because it wasn’t worth it, so I called the cops and let them handle this man. Before the man left I asked him for his name. He told me that I would never figure out his name. I again hit his injured arm and he hollered his name out so loud it canceled the cop’s siren. His name was Murr.
It has been a week now since Murr was arrested. After Murr was put away the streets got brighter and the sidewalks became less jagged. The shop restocked and I could finally get my favorite doughnuts. The cop came back and rewarded me with some pizza and some pop. We talked about pressing charges, but I didn’t want to be associated with this criminal. I felt he deserved sometime but not too much because he already got a beating from me. The cop gave me his name and badge number and told me to call him if I ever needed anything. I told him thank you and we went our separate ways.
