9:15am October 1st, 2015
It was the third week of school, at Mooreview High, and everything was exactly the same. The big football game was that night and everyone was excited.
“OMG Jake” the head cheerleader said, “you are going to have such an amazing game tonight”.
“Thanks sis, but I won’t be as amazing as you” replied Jacob, and the whole cheerleading squad squealed.
That right there was the conversation between the two most popular kids in school; brother and sister, Jacob and Ally Scott. Both are amazing at everything. They’re beautiful, smart, funny, popular, and nice. Jake’s the captain and quarterback for our school’s football team and is absolutely gorgeous. He’s tall, muscular, athletic, has blue eyes and dirty blond hair. And Ally, she is head of the cheerleading squad, with blond hair and blue eyes. So, they are basically just the perfect family.
And then there is me, Cami Johnson. Just your typical, lame outsider who has no friends and everyone thinks is weird. Unlike the Scotts, I have brown hair, green eyes, and I am super scrawny. I have also had a MASSIVE crush on Jake since the first grade.
We live in a small town up in Washington state. Here it rains almost everyday, and if it’s not raining, it’s cloudy. Our school is at the center of our town and is the only high school for about 20miles. We all live in single family homes, and own at least two acres of land. Once you drive past the school there are a few shops, a movie theater, a supermarket, and a bakery. My least favorite thing about this town is the creepy old graveyard behind our school.
8:55am October 4th, 2015
Jake ended up winning the football game for the whole team because he played amazing, as always.
Today a new girl showed up, and she is really pretty; she has jet black hair, bright green eyes, a great body, and very pale skin. This is what happened.
“HI my name is Victoria Ellis. I just moved here from Swindell and was wondering if you might be able to help me?” Victoria asked me.
I asked “What do you need help with?”
“I can’t find my first class. It’s in room 303.”
“I know where that is. It’s my first class, honors Calc BC. I thought I was the only junior in this school who took it. Come on we can walk there together.”
“Sounds great. Thank you.”
12:30pm
By this time Victoria and I had become pretty good friends, since we both take the highest classes this school has to offer. Now it was time for lunch. I would usually sit in the library and eat, but I don’t think Victoria would like to do that on her first day. As we entered the lunchroom everyone turned to stare, but not at me, at Victoria.
“OMG! Who are you? You are so pretty. Are you new here?” Ally asked running up to us.
“Yes, this is my first day here. Cami has been showing me around and helping me out” Victoria answered.
“Oh, that’s great! Would you all like to sit with us at lunch today?”Ally asked with energy.
Victoria responded, “We would love to! Just let us gather our lunches.”
As Victoria and I were in the lunch line, I realized that she only had green foods on her plate; broccoli, green beans, and veggie juice. I also noticed that her eyes had gotten a bit darker than they had been before.
“Victoria, are you feeling alright? You aren’t looking so well.” I asked.
“I’m fine. Can we just go to the table and find Jacob Scott?” She replied with annoyance.
“Since when do you have interest in, or even know Jacob Scott?”
“Trust me I’ve known him A LOT longer than you think.”
“What are you talking about? You just got here.”
“Let’s just forget about it and go to the table.”
Once we arrived at the table Ally introduced us to all her friends, including Jake. When Jake caught only the slightest glimpse of Victoria, it was as if he was stuck in a trance. All Jake was doing was staring at Victoria with awe and drooling, while she blushed and stared back. This was my dream guy and it hurt me a lot.
“Hey Victoria, would you like to come over to my house tonight to study for the big exam?” Jake asked with certainty she would say yes.
“Sure, I’ll be there, 8:00.”
9:20am October 5th, 2015
I thought that this morning would be good and the whole thing with Victoria would have cleared up; but when I walked in the front school doors there Victoria was standing arm and arm with Jake. A few feet away I could see Ally was looking at her brother with very puzzled look on her face. I did a very brave thing, and approached her.
“Hey Ally. How’s it going? You look a little confused.”
“Ya. It’s just my brother. Last night when Victoria came over all they did was sit in his room and read these weird quotes, or spells almost, the whole time. Then around 9:00 he said they were going to the graveyard behind the school for some sort of project. And then this morning he left at 6:00 and said he was going to football practice, but their last game was on Friday.”
“That is really weird. Did you happen to notice what Victoria looked like last night?” I asked, intrigued.
“She was wearing a dark cloak thing and her eyes were like black. One time I tried to see what they were doing and they said they were doing role play. Who does roleplay?!”
By the end of the day, Ally and I had watched Victoria and Jake’s every move and become really good friends in doing so.
9:30am October 6th, 2015
As I walked into school I had planned to ask Ally what Jake and Victoria did last night, but she was talking to some new guy. When I approached her she seemed different.
“Who is this Ally?” I pressed.
“This is Rupert, my boyfriend.“ Ally responded, almost robotically.
“Hey Ally, do you mind if I speak to you for a minute? Alone.” I asked impatiently and uneasy.
“I’m sorry, but I believe Ally and I were just leaving.” Rupert responded loudly.
“But Ally and I have first block together.” I pleaded.
“Well, she just changed her schedule this morning to match mine and now we only have lunch with you. So you don’t have to worry about us.” Rupert said angrily.
So I waited for lunch. Waited till I could see Ally and Jake again, and try to figure this out.
12:30pm - Lunchtime
I sat at the closest table to them as I could, without being seen. As I watched, I noticed that every movement Jake made, Ally made at the same time.
When lunch had ended, Victoria came up to me.
“Cami, would you like to hangout with Jake, Ally, Rupert and me after school today? There is someone I want you to meet.” Victoria said, very excited.
“Sure, when and where?” I asked.
“At the old graveyard, behind the school, 5:00.”
Even though I hated that graveyard, it may have been the only chance I had to see them all together, alone. So I responded with a firm
“I’ll be there.”
“Great!” Victoria said, smirking.
I figured this would be the perfect time to see everyone close together.
5:00pm - Graveyard time
It was strange how dark it had gotten already. It was cold, foggy, and cloudy.
“Hello Cami. It is so nice to see you. This is Justin, my brother, and he has just been DYING to meet you. You are everything he’s always wanted in a girl; just as Ally is to Rupert, and Jake is to me. Would you care to join us? We were just about to start.” 
And when I looked below her I realized she didn’t have feet and she was floating right above the grave. It was the gave of Victoria Rose Ellis.
