October 2nd, 2019 ...I was just approaching the soccer field with my team. It was wet, rainy, and kind of cold day when we started warming up. Julia and I are the captains of our travel team and we were when she was in 9th grade and I was in 8th grade. We are really good friends and one of my first friends I met when I joined the travel team I play for. We start by running across the field and then stretching. After we were done we started passing and the referees called captains.  Julia and I shook hands with the other captains and they played for the “Thunder Cats” but we call them the “Thunder Brats”. They are a very aggressive team and push a lot.

30 minutes later...we started the game they had kickoff. We pushed up and started playing our game. By half time the score was 0-0. It was still rainy and there were mud puddles on the field. After half time we went back on the field and i was still in goal. Then with 15 minutes left they scored a goal and the score was 0-1 i was so mad because i wanted to tie with them. Then my coach says “Bell im taking you out of net”. “Go score me goal ̈. So he takes me out of net and puts me as forward. I play forward for 2 minutes and me and this girl are going for the ball and she was wearing a metal knee brace and i ran into it at full speed. Her knee brace hit the inside on my knee so hard that the pain was as bad as 100 bee stings. I instantly hit the cold, wet, rainy  ground crying. I felt everything in my knee hurt. Walking off the field hurt like a runner out of breath. Once the game was over all of my teammates swarmed me wondering if I was okay. Some girls asked ̈are you okay to drive home?¨. When I got home the first thing my mom told me to do was ice my knee and keep the swelling down.
