Are you ready soccer fans? This year is going to be the best World Cup yet! The United States team is looking pretty good, except for the absence of one type of player. Now, with the new additions to the team, they have no players to control the pace of the game and create plays. You see, this year the team is under a new coach who many think will be their secret to success in the 2014 World Cup. However, I am convinced he is making very bad decisions for the team. Actually, it’s really only one decision that really makes me angry with him. You see this new coach elected to put all very young and inexperienced players on the team.

But views about the team differ. One group of U.S soccer fans believe our previous team was getting too old to compete at the highest level of soccer. On the other hand, most fans, including myself, want the veterans in there. They have much more experience and have been playing the game much longer. One of the best players on this previous team was a player named Landon Donovan. Now I could sit here and bore you with statistics and numbers about how many goals he has scored and other performance categories, but if you have ever watched a U.S soccer game I think seeing is believing. He constantly scores goals, assists other players, and is a key player to control the middle of

the field. Clearly, he is one of the greatest players in the game and certainly deserves a spot on the team. Quite frankly, I hope the team suffers on offense and lacks goals on the scoreboard. They will already be at a disadvantage on offense due to the fact their first four games are against defensively minded teams. After their slow production in the cup, maybe next year the coaches will finally realize what they missed out on by having a seasoned veteran on the field. After all, you never miss something great until it’s gone.
