What You Don't Know
You, with your ice cold heart, beat me down. What you don't know is that so do my parents. You, with the pernicious smile, laugh at my expense. What you don't know is that you show more interest than my family does. You, with your silly ideas, pick on me because I'm smart. What you don't know is that I'm happy you notice, unlike my own flesh and blood. You, with your painful words, tell me I am nothing and nobody cares. What you don't know, is that I am obviously something and I care about myself. Continue trying to crush everything I am. All you're doing is telling me lies, doing stuff I've already experienced, and wasting your life trying to destroy mine. It's actually funny. And to think you said I'm the pathetic one.
