My Sad Existence
Do you think anyone actually cares?
I sit here alone in my despair
Wondering if anyone will understand
That I’m not that weird, if only they’d give me a chance
An outcast since kindergarten
Left to my own demise
Lost in my imagination
Trying to pass the time
“Weird”, “Awkward”, “Creep”
Words that plague my existence
Words that try to identify my essence
But I am none of these things, you see
None of these things are really me
I’m as free as a bird, as calm as the sea
As alluring as a peacock, beneath a golden tree
Can’t you see? I’m not as strange as they say.
I’m only a lonely girl with no one to play
